Inert German First World War Wurfgranate Taube / 'pidgeon' 1916 fragmentation grenade, designed to be fired from the Granaterwerfer 16 spigot mortar. This example was sectioned after recovery. The nose percussion fuze unscrews and it retains its its 7.92mm propelling cartridge, which is inert.
